Recently, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Health Resources and Services Administration, announced that it is releasing revised reporting requirements for recipients of Provider Relief Fund payments.

Rising dental school debt and provider shortages in underserved areas are two major issues facing dentistry. For dentists, federal debt relief programs reward service to vulnerable populations with debt repayment. For underserved communities, the placement programs provide much-needed care. Are these programs equipped to solve both problems? Or are there additional challenges?
