Dr. George J Schmidt is an OKU graduate of the UMDNJ-NJ Dental School where he received his DMD degree. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In addition to maintaining a highly successful private practice in Northern New Jersey for the past twenty-three years Dr. Schmidt holds a dual appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and the Department of Diagnostics Sciences at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU College of Dentistry. He is also on Staff at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark New Jersey. In addition to serving on multiple dental Committees at the University, State and National level Dr. Schmidt currently serves as the Chairman for the AGD National Council for Dental Education, is the President of the RSDM OKU- Omega Omega Dental Society, Vice President of the Rutgers Dental School Alumni Association and is the Immediate Past-President of the New Jersey Academy of General Dentistry. He is passionate about Continuing Dental Education and lectures nationally on Dental Implants, Restorative dentistry, and Practice Management.
