Only 6 percent of dentists have earned Fellowship, and less than 2 percent have earned Mastership. That's why AGD has created a public awareness campaign to let patients know just how much our members go above and beyond.

Thanks to the work of Texas AGD FellowTrack directors and Texas AGD staff, FellowTrack membership applications in the Texas AGD are up 50 percent from last year.

Earlier this year, several constituents submitted applications for award consideration as part of the Universal Award Application (UAA) process. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Constituent Services Team (CST) announced the 2018 award winners at the AGD Annual Meeting, Nov. 2-4, 2018.

Manuel A. Cordero, DDS, CPH, MAGD, a general dentist from New Jersey and immediate past president of the Academy of General Dentistry, has been named executive director of the Hispanic Dental Association.

The Academy of General Dentistry has installed Neil Gajjar, DDS, MAGD, of Mississaugua, Ontario as the organization’s new president. Dr. Gajjar is the second Canadian and the youngest AGD member elected to the seat of president.

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) installed Bruce L. Cassis, DDS, MAGD, as its new vice president during its Annual Meeting in Chicago, November 2-4. Dr. Cassis seeks opportunities to make AGD a stronger advocate for general dentists and a resource for the general public.
