The American Medical Association confirmed it is no longer affiliated with the Partnership for America’s Health Care Future, an organization it helped found and who’s led the charge against Medicare expansion on behalf of the health care industry.

The Academy of General Dentistry formally thanked Representatives Dave Loebsack (IA-2) and Buddy Carter (GA-1) for their sponsorship of H.R. 3762, the Dental and Optometric Care (DOC) Access Act.

In July, the Virginia AGD was delighted to welcome Jose-Luis Ruiz, DDS, FAGD, to Virginia Beach for a 1 1/2-day participation course, “Healthier, Faster and More Predictable Direct Rehabilitation Using Supragingival Techniques.”

Effective Sept. 1, 2019, AGD will no longer accept any CE verification forms or rosters through mail, fax or email. All CE MUST be submitted electronically.

Dental Health Products, Inc. (DHPI) recently announced an agreement with the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the largest professional association for general dentists, to create AGDVANTAGE, a discount dental supply program provided exclusively to its members.

During the AGD2019 Convocation Ceremony, 234 AGD members received their Fellowship, 61 received Mastership and 22 members were recognized as LLSR recipients.

The AGD Governance Evaluation and Review Committee met in Chicago on June 21 to begin the arduous process of reviewing AGD’s governing structures.
