General dentists attend CE courses that address a wide variety of topics in all specialty areas. AGD PACE-approved CE organizations are expected to identify the general topic/specialty area their courses address on all marketing materials and attendance verification forms.

PACE Approval Eligibility Criteria Unchanged
Recently some providers have contacted the AGD regarding changes to PACE eligibility criteria. Currently the AGD has no plans to make changes to the PACE eligibility criteria.
Regional Directors Corner
Laurence Grayhills, DMD, MS, MAGD, represents Region 20, which includes Florida, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Although he has served in that position for only four months, he has already taken strides to unite his constituents, expand membership in the AGD and advance a pro-dentist legislative agenda in the Florida state capitol.
Inaugural New Dentist Conference a Hit for PAGD
On March 30-31, the Pennsylvania AGD (PAGD) conducted its inaugural New Dentist Conference. The conference was a success, with many resident dentists and new dentists with fewer than 10 years post-dental-school experience attending. It was a fantastic opportunity for contemporaries to learn and socialize together.

AGD is now taking nominations for the 2021 Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Award. This prestigious award is given to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the art and science of dentistry, or has enhanced AGD’s principles and goals and made exceptional efforts in promoting these ideals.
Submit Your Email and List Agreement Statements
AGD Constituent Email and List Agreement statements are due July 31. If your constituency has not already submitted this agreement, download a copy from the Important Dates and Forms section of the AGD website, and return a signed copy to the CST by July 31 via fax to 312.335.3429.

2020 Constituent and Component Dues-Rate Update Request
Help AGD staff prepare for 2020 by completing and submitting your 2020 Constituent and Component Dues Update Form, which is posted on the constituent section of the AGD website. Doing so will allow you to discuss changes to your dues rates with your board and to send updates in a timely manner.
Volunteer and Get Credit
Your commitment and dedication are critical in the fight against oral cancer. If you are a dentist or hygienist licensed in Connecticut, please register to volunteer at the AGD Foundation-sponsored oral cancer screening at AGD2019 at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut on Friday, July 19.
Wednesday Pre-Conference Sessions
Although AGD2019 officially starts Thursday, July 18, please remind constituents to consider arriving a day early to attend some of the educational sessions offered on Wednesday, July 17. These courses may serve as prerequisites for others held Thursday through Saturday
