Description

This webinar explores how routine dental procedures, when occlusion is not carefully considered, can lead to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction. Learn to recognize how ideal-looking restorations can cause joint strain, muscle tension and long-term instability, and discover simple ways to reduce temporomandibular disorder (TMD) risk in everyday practice.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify how everyday restorative procedures can contribute to TMJ dysfunction.
  • Recognize clinical signs of occlusal imbalance that can lead to TMD symptoms.
  • Explain how ideal-looking restorations can still create joint strain or overload.
  • Apply basic occlusal checks to minimize the risk of TMJ-related complications.
