Use of High-Power Lasers in Pediatric Dental Surgeries
Laser technology is used frequently in pediatric dentistry because it favors hemostasis, eliminates the use of sutures, minimizes treatment time, reduces the sensation of pressure and creates more comfortable postoperative conditions. A new case report in General Dentistry describes the use of lasers to effectively perform three minor surgeries — biopsy, lingual frenectomy and operculectomy — in two children.
