AGD Congratulates HRSA Administrator Carole Johnson
In a letter, the AGD congratulated Administrator Carole Johnson for her recent appointment to lead the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Administrator Johnson most recently served as Testing Coordinator for the White House’s COVID-19 Response Team and previously served as the public health lead for the White House’s Domestic Policy Council under the Obama administration.
The AGD expressed its support for the new Administrator and HRSA’s efforts to elevate the oral health of underserved communities. The AGD also shared its commitment to educating the public about the importance of maintaining good oral health and making it a foundational component of national health policy.
Impact on General Dentistry: AGD looks forward to working with Administrator Johnson to bring attention to the oral health care needs of the vulnerable populations served by HRSA. AGD will continue to advocate for new and existing HRSA programs that support underserved populations and advance oral health literacy.
