The Missouri AGD (MOAGD) was proud to host its first Oral Cancer Awareness Walk and Kids Sprint on Saturday, March 30. The board used funds awarded through an AGD Foundation grant to host the walk and offer free oral cancer screenings at the event.

Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, and it was a cold, snowy morning. Despite the poor weather, several MOAGD volunteers and dental and hygiene students braved the elements to raise awareness for oral cancer prevention. It was fun for the constituency, and it hopes to make it an annual event. The MOAGD is grateful to the AGD Foundation for being selected as a grant recipient, thereby providing the opportunity to host this exciting event.
