Marc J. Worob, DDS, FAGD, of Texas, Installed as AGD Vice President
The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) installed Marc J. Worob, DDS, FAGD, FACD, FICD, FAAOSH, a general dentist from Austin, Texas, as vice president during its annual meeting on Nov. 12, 2023, in Chicago. Worob, who has been active in AGD on many levels, is an advocate for continuous dental education to enhance the skills of general dentists and improve the oral health of the public.
“As vice president, I will continue to promote collaborative leadership and strategic growth,” Worob said. “AGD can become the North Star for all general dentists by uniting and empowering members through every stage of their careers. I want to embrace a shared vision, drive innovation and elevate AGD to the next level.”
Worob owns and is president of 12 Oaks Dental in Austin, Texas. He started the practice as a solo practitioner and has grown it into a thriving business that currently includes one partner. In his practice, Worob focuses on complete health denÂtistry that considers the holistic well-being of his patients.
Worob remains active with his local AGD component and the Texas AGD. He was on the Texas AGD board from 2010 until 2013 and then returned in 2014 as president-elect.
During his tenure as the AGD, Worob has served in several capacities. He served on the AGD Communications Council and helped organize the 2022 AGD Leadership Development Symposium. He also served as a regional director and chair of the regional directors.
Beyond dentistry, Worob has been deeply involved in his community, including serving on several local boards. His primary work was with the Austin Jewish Community, including being president for three years.
