AGD officially endorsed the Small Business PPE Tax Credit Act (H.R.7216) in a July 8 letter to the sponsors of the legislation.

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) announced on July 10 that an application is now open for dental providers who may not have previously been eligible to receive funding through the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund.

The House of Representatives Appropriations Committee held a markup for the fiscal year 2021 funding legislation on July 13, including the appropriations package for the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS).

Rachel J. Malterud, DMD, MPH, was recently recognized with a special award for her outstanding contributions to the AGD Foundation. Malterud, who graduated from the A.T. While telehealth is more established in medicine, it is relatively nascent in dentistry. As some dentists are embracing teledentistry during the COVID-19 pandemic to increase access to care, they are figuring out how to effectively integrate teledentistry services into their practices.
