As the global pandemic of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) continues to circulate, the science and knowledge related to prevention evolves. As this knowledge emerges, it can be increasingly difficult to access information that is reliable and evidence-based. This fast-paced course will provide updates on topics of interest and importance to dental professionals, including the following: the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for COVID-19; Centers for Disease Control Interim Guidelines; a review regarding aerosol-generating procedures; implementing a respiratory protection program; and vaccination guidelines and current recommendations.

- Identify the major elements of the CDC Interim Guidelines for dentistry.
- Understand the elements necessary to implement and maintain an OSHA-compliant respiratory protection program.
