Description

Today, there is a move to quickly remove the natural dentition and replace it with titanium. As we have recently observed, there are issues with this tooth replacement modality. Salvaging the natural dentition should be our first goal. When that is not feasible, then, fortunately, we have an alternative as a second best. By following a simple protocol and utilizing all the modalities available in dental therapy, we can accomplish our primary goal of salvaging the natural dentition. This protocol and long-term follow-up will be discussed.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the protocol and sequence of therapy in the treatment of advanced disease.
  • Learn what the different modalities in dental treatment can offer in treating advanced disease.
