Congratulations to the 2019 Constituent Mini-Grant Recipients
The AGD Constituent Mini-Grant Assistance Program gives constituencies the opportunity to receive a $750 grant for new or ongoing projects. Projects may include, but are not limited to, innovative member-recruitment campaigns, member-retention or social events designed to engage grassroots members, and community outreach programs designed to improve access to care or help the public learn about dental health issues and AGD.
The AGD Constituent Services Team thanks all applicants. Join us in congratulating the following 16 constituencies, selected by AGD’s Regional Directors Constituent Development Subcommittee:
- California AGD: The grant will used to foster continued membership and to attract and encourage new international members and students to Fellowtrack Programs.
- Florida AGD: The grant will be used to secure a speaker for CE courses in the region.
- Illinois AGD: The grant will be used to recruit new Chicago-area dentists and retain current members.
- Iowa AGD: The grant will be used to promote and increase awareness of quality CE courses offered in the local constituency.
- Kentucky AGD: The grant will be used for lunch-and-learn events at the University of Kentucky Dental School to increase student membership and involvement.
- Minnesota AGD: The grant will be used to host recruitment events and a Smart Series lecture program for University of Minnesota students.
- Missouri AGD: The grant will be used in fall 2019 to provide chemistry kits to high school chemistry classes to promote dental public awareness.
- Nebraska AGD: The grant will be used to promote and increase awareness of quality CE courses offered in the local constituency.
- New Jersey AGD: The grant will be used to host a September 2019 picnic in collaboration with New York AGD to promote Fellowship and recruitment initiatives between boards and members.
- New York AGD: The grant will be used to host a September 2019 picnic in collaboration with New Jersey AGD to promote Fellowship and recruitment initiatives between boards and members.
- Ontario AGD: The grant will be used to develop booklets to market and promote local Mastertrack courses to non-members and new graduates in 2019 and 2020.
- Pennsylvania AGD: The grant will used to fund a moderator to develop a three-year strategic plan, beginning June 2019, focusing on recruitment and retention for the local board.
- Rhode Island AGD: The grant will be used to create outreach programs and events for current members and non-members to improve the local constituency presence.
- South Carolina AGD: The grant will be to provide grants to local students and residents to take advantage of the CE opportunities offered at the SCAGD Annual Session, thus increasing new dentist membership.
- Texas AGD: The grant will be used to develop a recruitment and retention marketing campaign to promote membership in AGD, the local constituency and its components.
- Vermont AGD: The grant will be used to increase membership, provide a grant for membership dues to four resident members and possibly host a recruitment dinner at AGD2019.
