Tennessee AGD selected Anthony Martin, DMD, MAGD, as Dentist of the Year during the TNAGD Annual Meeting, July 20, 2018. Jian Huang, DDS, BMS, MAGD, TNAGD president, presented the award. Martin’s wife, Duy-thu Martin, MD, and children, Andrew, James, Alana and Lydia, were also in attendance.

Since 1999, Martin has served in organized dentistry — as TNAGD’s delegate, MasterTrack director, vice president, president-elect and president. He has served on the TNAGD board of directors since 2007. Martin is also a proud MAGD and LLSR award recipient. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association and Crossville Dental Study Club. Currently, he runs a private practice in Nashville, Tennessee.

Martin has participated in missions to Latin America, served at Knox Area Rescue Ministries and as a Cubmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, and volunteered at Interfaith Clinic and the Donated Dental Services program.
