AGD mourns the passing of Myron "Mike" Bromberg, DDS
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Myron “Mike” Bromberg, DDS, a beloved general dentist, devoted AGD member, esteemed leader, and fervent advocate for the dental profession. Our dear friend passed away yesterday, leaving a legacy of dedication, passion, and a relentless commitment to the well-being of patients, the dental profession, and oral health.
Dr. Bromberg was more than just a dentist; he was a visionary leader who inspired his colleagues to speak up for their profession and use their voices with their local and federal legislators to advocate for the needs of general dentists. He had an unwavering enthusiasm for the profession. He relentlessly taught and mentored dentists at all stages of their careers to speak up for the patients, the practice, and the broader cause of oral health.
He dedicated a significant portion of his life to advocating for the dental profession, tirelessly working to advance its standards and standing. He understood the importance of unity within the dental community and the need to stand alone when an issue demanded it. His impact on the dental community will be felt for years to come.
AGD is tremendously grateful for his devotion and unwavering commitment to the organization. He was honored with the AGD Distinguished Service Award and the Mark Ritz Award for Excellence in Advocacy. Throughout his time with AGD, he served as chair of numerous councils and committees, including Legislative and Government Affairs, Dental Practice and Professional Relations Committee; was the longest serving delegate to the AGD House of Delegates; AGD Congressional Liaison; and was AGD’s representative to the American Dental Association Political Action Committee; and served on several work groups. He also contributed significantly to his colleagues as a member and leader of the California AGD constituent.
In this difficult time, as we mourn the loss of a remarkable individual, let us remember Dr. Bromberg for his spirit, dedication, drive, commitment to care, and the enduring legacy he left behind. He will be deeply missed.
We extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone privileged to know and work with this amazing man.
