Chicago, IL (June 21, 2021) – The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) recognized Brian B. Novy, DDS, of Quincy Massachusetts, is this year’s recipient of the Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Award. He was presented the award during AGD2021held in Austin, Texas this year. Named after AGD’s founding father, the Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Award is given to a dedicated educator who embodies the spirit of comprehensive dental care. Recipients are professional role models whose activities exemplify a commitment to the profession of dentistry and the principles and goals of the AGD. Every year the AGD identifies a member to present the prestigious Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew award who has made outstanding contributions to the profession and dental community. Weclew was someone with a passion for the field and had a great vision for the future of general dentistry. It is an honor to present this award to Dr. Novy. Not only is he a great dentist, an excellent teacher, and researcher but he is definitely a trailblazer of this time who meets the criteria of Dr. Weclew’s vision and work ethic.”
