DRNA Selected as Exclusive Benefits Provider for Amalgam Separators and Recycling
The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) selected Dental Recycling North American (DRNA) as an Exclusive Benefits provider for amalgam separators and amalgam recycling for members of AGD.
An Environmental Protection Agency rule requires dental practices to install amalgam separators and start recycling the waste annually by July 2020. As a benefit of membership, AGD arranged for members to receive a free Dental Recycling North America (DRNA) amalgam separator with a three- or five-year service agreement.* This represents a savings of $850.
“DRNA is a new AGD Exclusive Benefits provider and is giving members the best value for amalgam separators and amalgam recycling services,” said Neil J. Gajjar, DDS, MAGD. “This is a tremendous member benefit. The $850 savings far outweighs the cost of membership and it makes it easy for members to meet the EPA requirement.”
DRNA CEO Marc Sussman said, “We are so pleased to have been selected as an AGD Exclusive Benefits provider. We see this as a great opportunity to work with an outstanding organization to give its members the best value for amalgam separators and amalgam recycling services, ultimately helping members reduce overhead and use the money on other important needs.”
With this program, AGD members will be in full compliance with the EPA regulation. In addition, when AGD members sign up with DRNA, their annual recycling fee will be locked in for three or five years. As part of the DRNA’s annual service contract, AGD members will receive their annual replacement kit automatically, which includes a replacement canister, on-demand pickup of existing canister, prepaid shipping, recycling and all compliance documentation. Members who already have an amalgam separator should talk with DRNA for special pricing when replacing the current amalgam recycling cartridge.
To learn all the details and take advantage of the free amalgam separator or discounted generic cartridge offer, visit the AGD member page at agd.org/amalgam or call 800.360.1001, ext. 2.
*Receive a free unit when you sign a three- or five-year recycling agreement at $500/year for the BU10 and $750/year for the BU10-30, inclusive of all costs.
