The Action for Dental Health Act Becomes Law
President Trump signs Bill creating opportunities for quality oral health for all Americans
Chicago, IL (12.13.2018) — The Action for Dental Health Act received a final stamp of approval this week as President Donald J. Trump officially signed the bill into law. Last week the bill received overwhelming support from Congress before heading to the president for signature. The new law opens the passageway for improved oral health literacy and promotion. The bill also will serve as a vehicle for opportunities focused on decreasing obstacles for access to oral healthcare, making it easier to establish dental homes. The bill is an amendment to the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize oral health promotion and disease prevention programs through the year 2022.
