Dr. Mai-Ly Duong, DMD, MPH, MAEd, MAGD, FACD, FICD, FPFA, is a distinguished associate professor at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health and associate dentist at Sundance Dental Care. She specializes in treating patients with special needs and complex medical conditions. Dr. Duong earned her DMD and MPH from A.T. Still University and completed an advanced education certificate from NYU Langone Medical Center. She holds a master’s in education with a dental emphasis from the University of the Pacific. Dr. Duong has received her MAGD and she is also a fellow of multiple prestigious dental associations. She has a passion for serving vulnerable populations, such as patients with special needs and older adults.

Tom Viola, RPh, CCP, is a board-certified pharmacist with over 30 years of experience. Renowned nationally and internationally, he is a clinical educator, professional speaker, and published author specializing in practical pharmacology for the dental team. As the founder of Pharmacology Declassified, Viola educates clinicians on the dental and systemic considerations of medications. He is a faculty member in over 10 dental professional degree programs and has been awarded multiple outstanding teacher of the year accolades. Viola has contributed to professional journals and pharmacology textbooks, and he consults for the American Dental Association’s Council on Scientific Affairs. Recognized by Dentistry Today, he has delivered over 1,000 seminars and webinars since 2001.

Dr. Amelia Orta, DMD, FACP, is a board-certified prosthodontist and a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. She is also a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Orta is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in the Department of Advanced Oral Sciences and Therapeutics. She is dedicated to minimally invasive restorative dentistry and enjoys mentoring students and residents. Prior to her academic role, she practiced in Washington, D.C. Dr. Orta has also contributed to the field as the editor-in-chief of the American College of Prosthodontists Messenger publication.
