Speaker Biography
Dr. John Portwood is a 1980 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. On the constituent level he has served as president of the Louisiana AGD and is currently the treasurer. Nationally, he has served as a member of the Dental Education Council and has been an AGD delegate or alternate delegate for the past 16 years.
He is also the Chair of the AGD Investment Committee, which determines the direction of the investments for the organization. Dr. Portwood is a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant. He has a Master's degree in financial planning with emphasis in wealth management.
Dr. Portwood is a practicing family dentist in Baton Rouge.
