Advocacy doesn’t just happen in Washington, DC or in your state capital.  This week U.S. Representatives and Senators are home for Presidents’ Day recess. During this week they will be meeting with their constituents just like yourself. In fact, it may be easier to meet with the Member of Congress when they are in their district than when they are in Washington. Plus, the meeting will be more relaxed without legislative and/or committee responsibilities and time constraints.

If you want to meet with your legislator feel free to contact us at advocacy@agd.org and we can provide background information on the issues that we will be advocating for during Hill Day. Or if you want to meet with your state legislator, we can let you know about important bills in your state legislature.

If you already have a relationship with your legislator(s), please let us know by e-mailing AGD at advocacy@agd.org. This information will be important if an issue arises in Congress or in your state legislature.

Impact on General Dentistry: By meeting with a legislator in your city it allows us to expand our Hill Day advocacy efforts to every district in the country, exponentially increasing our effectiveness. Also, by reaching out and letting us know of any existing relationships you have with your elected officials it allows us to utilize our members’ connections quickly and effectively.
