Description

This presentation will discuss the challenges facing healthcare organizations’ management of their workforces in a post-pandemic environment. Participants will engage in the topics of burnout, creating psychological safety, compassion, incivility and staff wellness. Strategies, tips and tools will equip participants to bring back purpose and joy in work.

  1. Describe the impact of staff burnout and incivility in the workplace.

Speaker Bio  

Mary-Ellen Pichè, CPHQ, LFACHE, LSSBB, is a healthcare executive and consultant who provides services to healthcare organizations, including strategic planning, organizational assessment/development, patient experience improvement, leadership development and high reliability. She delivers seminars on the patient experience and staff/physician/patient engagement. She is the coauthor of the book, “The Patient’s Primary Care Experience: A Roadmap to Powerful Partnerships.” Previously, Piche was a consultant with Planetree Inc. and CEO of the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York.
