Wisconsin AGD Advances Legislative Agenda

The Wisconsin AGD recently joined its new lobbyist, Thomas Moore, in a day of introductory meetings with legislators at the Wisconsin Capitol. Louis C. Boryc, DDS, FAGD, Wisconsin AGD immediate past president, was joined by Ninia Linero, AGD manager of government relations, to meet with leaders in the Wisconsin legislature and share information about AGD as well as state-level issues pertaining to general dentistry. This was only the first round of many meetings to ensure the Wisconsin AGD is recognized as a stakeholder in the Wisconsin oral health community.

Moore, who organized the meetings with legislators, was retained with the assistance of the AGD Advocacy Fund, which helps provide AGD and its constituents with the resources to tackle new issues, such as legislation or legal action affecting the practice of general dentistry.
