Description

After learning where practices are most vulnerable, dentists must know exactly how to reduce that risk. Gary Salman will provide a practical roadmap for strengthening your cybersecurity posture without complexity. You will learn what to address first, what can wait, what your IT provider should already be doing and how to document progress for HIPAA/cyber insurance. You will leave with a realistic action plan to protect patient data, reduce downtime and respond confidently to attacks.

Learning Objectives

  • Prioritize top cybersecurity controls for practices (patching, multifactor authentication, email security, endpoint protection).
  • Develop a cyber risk reduction roadmap tailored to the needs of your practice.
  • Assess vendor and third-party risks.
  • Create an incident response plan for business continuity.
  • Identify documentation practices for HIPAA compliance and cyber insurance requirements.
