MA AGD President's Message
Dear Massachusetts AGD Members:
I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your renewed commitment to lifelong learning. Our lives and profession are not static. With the world evolving around us, we must remain energized and innovative to move forward.
I would also like to thank those dental leaders that stayed together to keep contributing in various ways through the past couple of months and years, especially through this pandemic. Whether it be through educational opportunities we organize, increasing a social media platform, or creating student mentorships, the Massachusetts AGD will continue to focus on providing world-class educational programs within our state.
I want to recognize our newly appointed CE chair, Dr. Annie Tang, and Communications Chair, Dr. Sonal Virwani, for continuing thier hard work in spearheading opportunities for us to provide continuing education and a wider reach of general dentists, which is foundational to the AGD’s mission and of immense value to its members.
As a local constituent, it will be my undertaking this year as your Mass AGD President to better communicate all that our organization has to offer, be it locally, regionally or nationally. For me, volunteerism within the AGD community has been one of the most important ways I feel I have contributed to the profession in a broad and significant way. I have met many great dentists, leaders, mentors and friends, who project their passion for dentistry. I am truly grateful to be part of this network that I share with you and the community of other AGD volunteers. I recognize that we are fortunate to have so much talent in our state and I am committed to drawing from that to help advance the standing of our general dentist members and our profession as whole.
Over the coming year, I welcome your feedback. Tell us how we are doing and what we can do better to serve you. We have built an incredible community so far and I want nothing more than to leverage that into even more in the coming year!
Best,
Sarita B. Patel DDS
