Date(s)
Jan. 11, 2021 at 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Course Description:
As the foundation for the prosthetic phase of implant dentistry, the implants themselves will guide all future related procedures. Because of this, it is critical that the treatment planning phase take into account the final prosthetic and esthetic demands of the case. This course will inform the clinician about a number of functional and esthetic aspects of teeth, extraction sockets and implant dentistry that ought to be considered prior to single-tooth implant placement so as to provide the best expectations for success.
Objectives:
- Appreciate that implant dentistry is essentially a hybrid therapy of surgical and prosthetic segments
- Recognize how the surgical aspects of implant dentistry can limit prosthetic options
- Identify how aspects of implant placement can affect the potential success of the subsequent prosthetic phase from both esthetic and functional perspectives
- Appreciate how surgical protocol modification can serve to enhance the esthetics and functionality of the final implant-supported restoration
