The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) announces that the November issue of AGD Impact, its monthly magazine, has been published. This month’s issue features inspiring stories of leadership, service and financial empowerment across the dental profession with a special focus on student debt and military prosthetists.
This month’s cover story, “The Do’s and Don’ts of Dental School Loan Repayment,” offers dentists tips for how to optimally pay off their student debt and is accompanied by real-world success stories from AGD members. The November Leadership column extends this topic with information highlighting smart financial moves for new dentists.
The feature story, “Restoring Heroes: The Legacy of the Air Force Maxillofacial Prosthetics Fellowship Program,” is just in time for Veterans Day and honors military personnel with a powerful look inside the U.S. Air Force program that restores not only faces, but lives. The article showcases how dental professionals provide life-changing care for injured service members through advanced prosthetic technologies and compassionate service.
A related op-ed Viewpoint shares leadership insights from the U.S. Army Dental Corps in “Leading from the Front.”
Other content in this issue includes:
- A Member Spotlight features an Iowa state representative and longtime dentist.
- The popular Testing the Tools column looks at three helpful products to support dentists.
- Other columns provide tips on wellness and how to help patients accept treatment recommendations.
- Additionally, this issue’s Self-Instruction exercise provides 1 CE credit based on the student debt cover story.
