In 2018, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that almost 52% of the US population had one or more chronic diseases or illnesses. Dental healthcare providers have a great opportunity to help reduce mortality and morbidity in the United States. They also have an important responsibility to safely provide oral healthcare to patients with special care needs or complex medical needs. This webinar will visit five common types of patients a dental office will treat and the recommended modifications to dental treatment and treatment delivery.
Learning Objectives

- Review the common medical conditions that these five real-life patients have and how it affects the delivery of dental care.
- Identify alternative solutions for dental treatment based on patient limitations due to medical conditions.
