Description:

Patient communication is a relationship, which implies a connection deeper than occasional transactions. Patient relationships are connections that are maintained even when patients are not in your office. These connections are what develop loyalty, and they are part of the strategy for retaining patients over years. Retaining patients is five times less expensive than finding new patients. Evaluate the lifetime value of each patient — in other words, how much business they will bring to your practice over the lifetime of your relationship — not just the value of their first visit. Patient loyalty produces that lifetime value. This is what makes patient relationships and communication paramount.

Learning Objectives:

• Be able to describe the typical patient journey.
• Learn how effective patient communication looks.
• Evaluate how technology can streamline the experience for both patients and the  practice.
