On June 27, AGD celebrated one of its most cherished traditions: the Convocation Ceremony.

More than 200 AGD members were recognized for earning Fellowship (FAGD), Mastership (MAGD), and Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition (LLSR), distinctions that represent years of dedication to continuing education, professional growth and service to others.

For recipients, Convocation marks far more than the completion of a credentialing process. It is the culmination of countless hours spent learning, refining clinical skills, pursuing excellence and striving to provide the highest level of care to patients. It is also a celebration of a commitment that extends beyond the dental office — to organized dentistry, community service and lifelong learning.

“These honorees exemplify the very best of general dentistry,” said AGD President Marc J. Worob, DDS, FAGD. “The Convocation Ceremony represents our unwavering commitment to advancing clinical excellence through continuing education and innovation. This gathering brings together dedicated professionals who are passionate about elevating patient care, embracing emerging technologies and strengthening the future of general dentistry through lifelong learning.”

The achievements recognized during Convocation reflect the values that have defined AGD for more than seven decades. Fellowship and Mastership recipients have demonstrated exceptional dedication to expanding their knowledge and skills throughout their careers. Those receiving LLSR have continued that journey while also making meaningful contributions to their communities and the profession.

As family members, friends, colleagues and fellow AGD members looked on, each recipient crossed the stage as a testament to what can be accomplished through perseverance, curiosity and a commitment to excellence.

Their achievements serve as an inspiration to the entire AGD community and reaffirm AGD’s belief that learning is not a destination, but rather a lifelong pursuit.

Congratulations to those who were recognized this year.
