AGD Foundation New Oral Cancer Webinar Series
The AGD Foundation is launching a new quarterly webinar series, Oral Cancer Prevention, Detection & Treatment: A Foundational Series, to advance awareness, education and action against oral cancer. In 2026, more than 59,000 people in the United States will be diagnosed with some form of oral or oropharyngeal cancer. Behind every statistic is a person, a family and a story, which is why our commitment to promoting early detection and prevention has never been more vital.
The first two-part webinar of this important new series will take place during Oral Cancer Awareness Month:
- Part 1: Thursday, April 9, 2026
- Part 2: Thursday, April 30, 2026
Featuring James Keenan, DDS, MAGD, clinical assistant professor at New York University (Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology and Medicine), this session will explore:
- Oral cancer burden and survival disparities.
- Risk assessment fundamentals (tobacco, alcohol and HPV context).
- Screening vs. diagnosing — understanding the boundaries.
- And more!
CE credit will be available for attendees.
