New York Dentist Re-Elected as Academy of General Dentistry Speaker of the House

the years, I have come to recognize that, more than politics, my passion is the

dental anesthesiology residencies at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

1983, focused on caring for anxious, apprehensive, and special-needs patients.

associate professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery’s Division of Hospital Dentistry at Stony Brook, and most recently as
clinical associate professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative
Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
In addition to teaching predoctoral dental students and postdoctoral
residents, Peskin has lectured extensively on pain and anxiety control, risk
management, and parliamentary procedure at national meetings, including the Hinman,
Greater New York, the Greater Long Island, and the California
Dental Association.
Peskin’s professional honors include Fellowship in multiple dental
organizations, including the AGD, American Association of Hospital
Dentists, American College of Dentists, International
College of Dentists, and Pierre Fauchard Academy. His
numerous awards include the Distinguished Alumnus Award from
Stony Brook University (2012), the New York State Dental Association

“Dr. Peskin’s continued leadership ensures that AGD’s House of Delegates
remains strong, inclusive, and effective,” said Mark J. Worob, DDS, FAGD,
president of AGD. “His depth of experience and steady guidance help drive the
governance that supports our members and the advancement of general dentistry.”
