The American Dental Association (ADA) Foundation is now accepting applications for two prestigious award programs that support the next generation of oral health professionals and researchers. These awards are designed to recognize individuals committed to advancing oral health and expanding access to care in underserved communities.

The Dr. David Whiston Leadership Award honors an emerging leader under the age of 40 whose work demonstrates a strong commitment to equity and public health in dentistry. The recipient will receive $5,000 to support participation in the ADA Leadership Institute’s 2026–2027 program. Applications open April 30, 2025, and close July 7, 2025.

The Crest and Oral-B Promising Researcher Award offers $5,000 to an outstanding researcher engaged in preventive dentistry. Eligible candidates include students and professionals enrolled in accredited oral health programs. Award funds may be used for conference travel and related expenses. Applications open June 23, 2025, and close Sept. 19, 2025.
