Impact on General Dentistry: Being able to access drugs is critical to patients’ health, both for dentistry and other specialties. In addition to being necessary for patient well-being, dentists and other health professionals have to be able to rely on availability of drugs to effectively treat patients. Ensuring that the treatments dentists need are readily available allows them to focus on treating patients instead of sourcing drugs or modifying care. The AGD supports efforts to address the root causes of drug shortages.
