Dan McCauley, DDS, FAGD
Regional Director, Region 18

Dan McCauley, DDS, FAGD, became a regional director in November 2016. His region encompasses Texas. He has held various leadership positions since he joined the AGD in 1977. He has chaired over 12 committees and councils at the local level, and AGD and American Dental Association (ADA) reference committees at the executive level. In addition to being Texas AGD regional director, McCauley is an ADA delegate. He has also served as the director, senior director and president of Texas Dental Association (TDA). McCauley sits on the TDA’s Medicaid council and financial services board.

McCauley chose to become a volunteer after he realized the seriousness of issues affecting dentistry and the risks facing his profession. He chose to be proactive through leadership to protect the future of dentistry. 

Currently, he practices in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He advises future leaders to get involved early and enjoy the profession. They will find great friends and mentors as well as travel to some really neat places. In his spare time, McCauley is devoted to public service. He is also very active in politics on regional, state and national levels.
