Description
This lecture will discuss airway analysis and the difference between pediatric and adult sleep apnea. Interdisciplinary treatment will be discussed, and cases will be presented.
Learning Objectives
- Identify signs of sleep apnea in the adult population.
- Identify signs of sleep apnea in the pediatric population.
- Learn about referral to the appropriate specialties.
- Learn ways to treat sleep apnea in pediatric and adult populations.
Christina Carter, DMD, graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Dental School, and earned certificates in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics from the New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry. She completed a fellowship in craniofacial orthodontics at the NYU School of Medicine Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. She is in private practice in Morristown, New Jersey. She frequently lectures around the world and appears on Sirius Doctor Radio. She is also faculty at NYU in the departments of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics.
