In Florida, HB 683 was introduced by Representative Daniel Perez.  The bill seeks to authorize the licensure of dental therapists in the state, and allow them to perform numerous procedures under the general supervision of a dentist.  The bill is currently pending before the Florida House Health Quality Subcommittee.
