MANAGER, CONSTITUENT & MEMBER SERVICES

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in advancing their association management career! The Manager of Constituent Services supervises one direct report and interfaces with member leaders and constituent staff at the local and regional levels, along with internal AGD departments to:

  • Develop, deploy and continuously improve annual programming
  • Develop and oversee department budgets
  • Change management
  • Facilitate virtual and face to face meetings (agendas, reports, business case presentations, etc.)
  • Analyze and present data, results and ROI on AGD programming to leadership
  • Oversight of two online communities
  • Manage awards and grants
  • Ensure policy is being followed
  • Support membership efforts at the local/regional level

Successful candidates will have:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential and/or marketing or communication degree preferred. 

Credentials (years of experience): Three to five years related experience, including needs analysis, program presentations, working with volunteer leaders, and facilitating and leading groups. Prefer association background in managing constituent/chapter relations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Be able to communicate authoritatively, effectively and tactfully with AGD officers, members, suppliers and staff to present a positive image of AGD through these communications. Strong business writing skills/proposal development. Must be open minded to innovation and new ways of doing things.

Possess exceptional PC skills, including Microsoft Office. Be flexible, adaptable, detail oriented, able to work on a wide variety of tasks independently and in a team structure, understand meaning of confidentiality, solve problems creatively and effectively and make sound judgments. Ability to meet deadlines, set priorities, work independently, develop budgets, monitor and control expenditures, and high level of initiative and creativity. 

Able to work additional hours and travel as needed.
